Neglect and Mistreatment: Impediments within the course of Enrichment of Living Conditions of Individuals

Abstract
The main objective of this research paper is to acquire an efficient understanding of the act of neglect and mistreatment. These are impediments within the course of enrichment of living conditions of individuals. These are experienced by individuals within homes, professional settings and in different types of public places. The individuals, belonging to all communities have experienced these acts in a major or minor form. The girls have been subjected to these acts more as compared to their male counterparts. In rural communities in some cases, birth of girls is not appreciated, more preference is given to male children. As a consequence, they are subjected to neglect and mistreatment. In urban communities as well, the girls and boys are subjected to these acts. The victims do experience various types of health problems from the physical and psychological perspectives. Furthermore, their concentration abilities get impeded on various tasks and activities. Hence, it is necessary for the individuals to form positive viewpoints in terms of various factors and treat each other with respect and courtesy. In all communities, girls should be provided with equal treatment as their male counterparts. Therefore, individuals, belonging to all communities, occupations, and socio-economic backgrounds need to be well-informed in terms of measures to eliminate these acts. The main concepts that are taken into account in this research paper are, factors to be implemented to eliminate neglect and mistreatment, consequences of neglect and mistreatment and neglect and mistreatment are impediments in carrying out the function of child development.
