Recognizing the Significance of Education in Rural Communities

Abstract
Education is regarded as the key in leading to up-gradation of not only the individuals, but communities as a whole. In rural communities, the system of education is not in a well-developed state. There is a need to formulate programs and measures, which are focused upon leading to up-gradation of the overall system of education. In enhancing the system of education, there are number of factors that need to be taken into account, i.e. teaching methods, instructional strategies, teaching materials, extra-curricular and creative activities, infrastructure, amenities and facilities and the overall environmental conditions. The rural individuals have recognized the meaning and significance of education. They aim to acquire good-quality education and bring about improvements in their overall quality of lives. They are migrating to urban communities to get enrolled in educational institutions. The acquisition of education will enable them to generate a source of income and sustain their living conditions in an effective manner. Therefore, it is well-understood, in rural communities as well, the individuals are recognizing the meaning and significance of education and developing motivation. The main areas that are taken into account in this research paper are, factors taken into account in the system of education in rural areas, problems experienced in acquisition of education in rural schools and the system of education in rural areas will lead to enhancement of the communities.
